Lea Nigel Studios is currently have a home studio, on 10 acres in the heart of the beautiful Manistee National Forest. Apologies, but studio visits are not possible at this time. However, I’d would love to meet up with you or travel to your design location for an onsite consultation. Please contact the studio to arrange a design consultation.
As a small batch, tile art studio, we create each tile by hand. Lea Nigel Studios is not a handmade tile factory, industrial processes are not utilized in the studio. Remember, I create ceramic tile art for home or business for installation. I am not an architects, interior designers, contractor, or tile setter...yet.
If you need help figuring our how much tile your space needs (square footage), tile shape, tile color, starting a tile project with Lea Nigel Studios, I can assist with these areas. There is an initial $175 design consultation fee for UP TO (5) hours of our time. This covers a single meeting and any amount of time from 5 minutes to 5 hours, for us to get started on initial sketches, formulating a design layout, creating your design. After this time is utilized, I have a $35 per hour design fee. Additional in person meetings or site visits are $35 each. I may have random samples on hand, from previous orders, that I can bring to initial meetings… but I do not keep samples in stock. If you'd like to see a color(s) or shapes I recommend ordering one of the In Stock Sample Packs ( https://leanigel.com/products/2x2-sample-pack-in-stock-glazes ). Some samples are included with full orders, please inquire.

Full payment is appreciated on all orders prior to creating your order. All of the tile art is crafted to order, with some exceptions. I’m unable to show a "preview' of your exact order as everything is handmade to order. I can show you work similar that I’ve already produced for other customers, and hope this gives you enough perspective to decide how Lea Nigel Studios tile can fit your needs.

I will provide site specific samples, shipped within 2-4 weeks of your payment, for full paid orders. This includes up to (4) samples, of your shape tile, wearing any of our in stock colors. Special ordered colors are an additional charge based on how many you'd like to see. For an idea of price, please visit our Custom Sample Pack page.
Every tile I make is bespoke, even samples. I do not provide free samples. We do not keep samples on hand. They are all made-to-order. If you'd just like to order only samples, please visit our In Stock Sample Pack product to choose from in stock glaze colors on our 2x2 Field Tile. You can order from 4 up to 10 samples online, if you would like to see more than that, please contact me. For alternate shapes, you'll have to contact me. I also offer a Custom Sample Pack product for color matching, ordering colors I do not currently have in the studio. Some of these choices are listed on our Glaze Palette page.
I would love to design a new art tile just for you... or several pressings to share with friends and family for a special occasion (wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc.)! There is a minimum (4) hour design fee of $175 to draw and carve a prototype in clay, then we create a custom hand-poured plaster mold. Then there is the cost of the finished tile, $128 each.
Please allow 2-36 weeks on an order depending upon size of your order. The lead time on home installation orders is typically 4-36 weeks depending on size and how many orders we have at the time you place yours. A single Art Tile, made to order is 2-4 weeks. Any square footage is 4-36 weeks.
