My Art Tile collection is evolving, please inquire about your favorite icon or image. Id love to work with you to create a design, and then for your idea becomes part of my story. Please check back frequently for exciting, new additions!
These honestly handcrafted Art Tiles make the perfect gift for someone special. They are made to pair with my Address Numbers… to add personal touch to the facade of your home or business, or really personalize a gift for friends and family.
Each tile is created from a hand carved ceramic prototype, hand cast in a plaster mold, then hand pressed (from a Michigan made white stoneware clay), and hand painted in several glaze hues. I bisque fire the tile and then hand-paint each glaze color onto the tile. A final glaze firing, to about 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, creates a beautiful, professionally crafted, piece of art made just for you! From my home to yours!
Lead times vary, depending upon order size and how busy we are. Average is 2-10 weeks.

Locally, the Mute Swan has made the news, been the subject of protest. There are two species, the Trumpeter Swan and the Mute Swan… here in Michigan. The Mute Swan is an invasive species and the D.N.R recently set out on a mission to control he invasive species on the Boardman River. The river area in Traverse City, Michigan was re-routed after the removal of a long standing dam. There was a nesting swan pair here, you could see when you drove past, over the bridge. A lot of people were upset when the re-routing project began and were concerned about this nesting pair.
A made-to-order tile will take 2-4 weeks depending on the kiln schedule and how busy the studio is.
I hand press and hand glaze each individual tile in our studio in Northern Michigan just for you. Genuine handcrafted tile designed and produced by trained artisans. The images show our Swan with a True Celadon (lighter, translucent green) and a Jade (darker, opaque, speckled green) glaze background, you can choose or request a different color to match your design. Visit product page →Inspired by historic tile production, we've hand carved a spectacular, contemporary tile for your next design project.
Our Grand Flower tile is nominal 5x5 inches and you will need (6) tiles per square foot with a 3/16 inch grout space. The tile is about 1/2" thick. Made of white stoneware clay and glazed fired to 2230 degrees Fahrenheit, for the greatest durability allowed, while maintaining the array of colors we offer.
This tile is priced based on number of glaze hues on the tile. A single Art Tile with a single glaze color is $85, (2) colors $98, and (3) colors $110 each.
Retail pricing on square foot orders: (1) color $138 or $23 each; (2) colors $178 or $29 each; and (3) colors $218 or $37 each.Sample Packs begin at $16, then you add the price per tile, for however many you’d like to order. Please contact for any questions or assistance.
