My Art Tile collection is evolving, please inquire about your favorite icon or image. Id love to work with you to create a design, and then for your idea becomes part of my story. Please check back frequently for exciting, new additions!
These honestly handcrafted Art Tiles make the perfect gift for someone special. They are made to pair with my Address Numbers… to add personal touch to the facade of your home or business, or really personalize a gift for friends and family.
Each tile is created from a hand carved ceramic prototype, hand cast in a plaster mold, then hand pressed (from a Michigan made white stoneware clay), and hand painted in several glaze hues. I bisque fire the tile and then hand-paint each glaze color onto the tile. A final glaze firing, to about 2200 degrees Fahrenheit, creates a beautiful, professionally crafted, piece of art made just for you! From my home to yours!
Lead times vary, depending upon order size and how busy we are. Average is 2-10 weeks.

Visit product page →We have a winding trail of these beautiful flowers that appear in our front yard every spring, peaking out of the earth when the snow is still on the ground! We were inspired by their variety and show of color to the world after the long winter gives way to spring here in northern Michigan.
The cup-shaped, solitary, salverform flower tapers off into a narrow tube. Their colors vary enormously, although lilac, mauve, yellow, and white are predominant. The grass-like, ensiform leaf shows generally a white central stripe along the leaf axis.
Cultivation and harvesting of Crocus Sativus for saffron was first documented in the Mediterranean, notably on the island of Crete. Frescos showing them are found at the Knossos site on Crete. The first crocus seen in the Netherlands, where crocus species are not native, were from corms brought back in the 1560s from Constantinople.
My Crocus Art Tile is a nominal 5x5 inches and 1/2 inch thick.I hand paint each tile. The one in images has a pure white Snow Celadon flower outlined in lavender celadon. The leaves are True Celadon (light green) outlined in Dark Green celadon. The background is a placid and ephemeral pale Glacier blue.

Visit product page →Welcome spring with our rendition of this beautiful ephemeral wildflower. There’s a substantial colony that blankets our backyard, right outside of the tile art studio window.
Trout Lily grows in rich organic soils of Maple-Beech forests throughout Michigan and has an interesting life history. Research has suggested the average age of a trout lily colony can be up to 150 years old, and potentially over 1,000 years old in undisturbed forests.
The Trout Lily Art Tile is a nominal 5x5 inches and about 1/2 inch thick.
Many glaze offer a variety of textures and layers to control the different areas of the tile design. The background is glazed a transparent Smoke celadon. The leaves are dark green celadon, spotted golden brown and outlined in Jade. The flower is a sunshine yellow celadon outlived in a yellow satin matte. Iron glaze shows off on the petals, stem and stamen.

The Frenchie is wearing Clear Satin and Black Satin, opaque smooth glazes with a bit of shimmer; Smoke and Iron (high gloss translucent Celadon glazes that highlights the clay body underneath); and a metallic saturated Gold… to add some glamour to express the rockstar attitude of this breed.
This Art Tile is signed Lea Nigel and is dated with a nail notch on the reverser dude to install without a frame, upon request.

This design is wearing Sandstone Shino and Clear Satin on the feline in the foreground with CAT lettered, graffiti style, in our mirror Palladium glaze. The background glaze is Blue Rutile for a soothing, relaxed vibe... as you know, cats will sleep any time they're bored, which can mean up to 15 hours a day!

This dog tile was requested by a patron to pair with our Address Tile.This dog tile is a Pitbull breed, wearing Sandstone Shino and Gold with graffiti style DOG freehand font behind which is also outlined in Gold. The background is a soothing Blue Rutile or green True Celadon a calm, peaceful vibe.
Dogs are intelligent and devoted and have positive affects on their owners mental health and well-being. The Pitbull is one of the breeds that has been highly misrepresented in society. Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to share their lives with this fabulous, loving breed knows how great they can make your life as your pet!
